Billing and Payments

Transparent, fair, and usage-based — so you only pay for what your team uses.

How Billing Works

Fabricloop charges workspaces based on the number of active members during each billing cycle. We use Stripe to securely process payments and provide flexible invoicing options for larger teams.

You’re only billed for members who are actively using Fabricloop — not for inactive accounts that sit unused. This approach ensures you're getting value from every seat you're paying for.

What Counts as an Active Member?

An active member is anyone who performs an action in your workspace within a 28-day rolling window. Actions include:

  • Opening the app (iOS or Web)

  • Creating or editing a task, note, or news story

  • Adding a comment

  • Uploading a file

  • Viewing updates, events, or comments

If a member logs in and reads or contributes to the workspace, they count as active.

Inactive members are not counted toward your billing. If someone hasn’t used Fabricloop in 28 days, they are automatically marked inactive and removed from your paid seat count — no manual action required.

Real-World Example

Imagine you’re on a monthly plan:

  • You start June with 12 active members

  • On June 10, you add 2 new team members

  • One existing member becomes inactive on June 15

Here’s what you pay:

  • A full month for the 12 members active at the start

  • A prorated amount for the 2 new members based on when they joined

  • A credit for the inactive member, based on how much of the month remains unused

That credit is applied to your next invoice automatically — no support request or refund form required.

Adding and Removing Members

You can invite members to your workspace through the app via email or by just sharing the app link. When they join and become active, they are counted toward billing. If someone leaves or becomes inactive, your billing adjusts — no need to manually deactivate accounts.

This makes scaling your team simple, flexible, and efficient.

Payment Options

We process all payments securely through Stripe. You can:

  • Pay monthly or annually

  • Use a credit or debit card

  • View and download detailed invoices from your workspace billing settings

For larger organizations or enterprise clients, custom invoicing is available. Reach out to [email protected] to enable invoicing.

Managing Your Subscription

Admins and Owners can manage the workspace’s subscription at any time:

  • Upgrade or downgrade your plan

  • Cancel or pause billing

  • Switch between monthly and annual billing

Changes take effect immediately or at the end of the billing period, depending on the action. Your billing dashboard shows current usage and future invoices.

Why Fair Billing Matters

Traditional tools charge for every invited member — even if they haven’t logged in for months. Fabricloop believes in fair, value-aligned pricing:

  • Pay for active contributors, not unused seats

  • Automatic adjustments — credits and proration happen behind the scenes

  • Flexible growth — scale your team without wasting money

It’s billing that respects your time, your budget, and your team’s real usage.
